Toyota Scion Breaking News: Toyota predicts they’ll top 10 Million Vehicles in
2014
Toyota
Motor Corporation set a target of selling an unprecedented 10 million vehicles in 2014 after reporting on their
worldwide sales success last year. 2013
vehicle sales rose 2.4 percent to 9.98 million units last year. That compared with the 9.71 million units
sold by General Motors and over 9.7 million units at Volkswagen Sales are
predicted to continue to rise to 10.32 million units this year.
The
Toyota Turning Point:
Toyota
Chief Executive Officer, Akio Toyoda, grandson of the company’s founder, is pushing
an overhaul of vehicles with an emphasis on “waku-doki” design, shorthand for the Japanese phrase for heart-racing qualities.
“What
Toyoda has been doing goes back to Toyota’s original philosophy and focus on products and long-term goals,”
said Kota Yuzawa, an analyst at Goldman Sachs Group Inc. in Tokyo. “Last year
was the first year his efforts began to bear fruits. The product cycle has just
started and they can probably continue to roll out good products and give us
good numbers.”

Toyota Scion Owner Tips: How to preserve your vehicle's value

Keeping
your vehicle in peak condition helps you enjoy driving it longer on Wisconsin’s
roadways and may improve its resale or trade-in value down the road. Take
advantage of simple strategies to help preserve your vehicle’s value from the
inside out. Scheduling regular maintenance, cleaning your upholstery, repairing
accident damage and eliminating aggressive driving are among the recommended
tips for taking care of your vehicle
Maintain
Your Engine At Heiser:
Maintaining
your vehicle properly helps it lasts longer and run more efficiently. An oil
and filter change is important, and should be done consistently. It’s also
advisable to get your tires rotated and have a Multi-Point Inspection performed
with every oil change. To find out what scheduled maintenance is recommended
for your vehicle, consult your Owner's Manual or call our Heiser Toyota Scion
Service Advisors.
Keep
the exterior of your vehicle looking great:
If you
are in an accident, promptly file an insurance claim and use the claim money to
repair the damage as soon as possible. Waiting can allow rust to set in, leading
to other more serious problems. Heiser’s
76th street body shop in Milwaukee and Heiser’s Collision Center in
West Allis are available to take care of any body work needed.
It is
also important to get regular car washes for your vehicle, especially in the
winter months. The salt that's used to melt snow and ice on roads can get caked
on the underside of your car and begin to eat away at the metal. Lots of
caked-on salt will also make your engine and transmission run hotter, because
heat has a harder time escaping through the bottom of the car.
Drive smart:
Avoid aggressive driving, which can
damage your vehicle and may decrease its resale value. Refrain from
jackrabbit starts, fast stops, speeding and weaving through traffic, as well.
Following these recommendations can help keep your brakes, engine, tires and
suspension from wearing prematurely – and even help improve your fuel economy.
Keep complete service
records:
Keep complete Heiser Toyota
Scion service and maintenance records, along with any other receipts for parts
and accessories, so you can show prospective buyers that your vehicle is well
cared for. These records will validate your selling price and assure potential
buyers that your vehicle is in optimal condition.
Heiser Toyota Super Bowl Sneak Peek: What are Toyota
And the Muppets doing together?
![]() |
Muppets Star In Super Bowl Commercial |
The
Muppets gang is in for a wild ride when they join forces with Toyota, blending
Toyota’s exciting ‘Let’s Go Places’ spirit with Muppets mayhem. The
collaboration celebrates the upcoming
Toyota Highlander launch and the Muppets’ all-new big-screen adventure
“Muppets Most Wanted”.
The
Muppets will hit the road with Terry Crews, star of the FOX series “Brooklyn
Nine-Nine,” in Toyota’s new commercial for the all-new Highlander. The
60-second spot, entitled “Joyride,” will make its broadcast debut during Super
Bowl XLVIII on Sunday, February 2.
The
TV spot shows how Toyota Highlander puts
the 'fun' in function. Toyota vehicles can even endure the most
boisterous Muppets, a former NFL player as well as a center console full of
chickens. With their over-the-top personalities, the Muppets teach Crews’
character a thing or two about “unborifying”
his lifestyle as they “borrow” his sweet ride. The spot features humor, dancing
and surprises—no Muppet caper would be complete without an original song.
Viewers note that with seating for up to 8 human passengers (or more than a
dozen Muppets) the all-new Toyota Highlander has plenty of room for everything—except
boring.
Crews,
who played six years in the NFL as a defensive end/linebacker, is known for his
roles and appearances on television shows such as “Arrested Development” and
“The Newsroom,” and films “The Expendables”, “Bridesmaids” and “The Longest
Yard.”
In
addition to the commercial, the Muppets gang will provide real-time updates as
they travel to the big game in their Toyota Highlander on February 2. Fans and
customers are invited to chat live with the Muppets on game day by tweeting
@Toyota or using #NoRoomForBoring.
Toyota Entune App Suite Goes
Subscription-Free On All 2014 Models
![]() |
Toyota Entune App Suite |
When
Toyota Entune launched in 2011, the system allowed users to access apps such as
Pandora and MovieTickets.com, and find sports scores, weather, traffic and
other information. The newest version of Entune arrived on the redesigned 2014
Toyota Tundra. The system now includes all multimedia functionality, not just
apps. Audio, phone and navigation all run under the Entune banner, and the Entune App Suite is now
subscription-free.
The
new system is more robust, too. Entune offers a more customizable interface
than before, so users can rearrange apps and audio menu screens to suit their
preferences. Improved HD data services add
functions such as predictive traffic reports and weather with Doppler radar.
"Favorite" contacts are easier to mark and save for later.
Toyota
will offer four different Entune units. Entune Audio is the most basic, with
AM/FM radio, CD, Bluetooth, aux and USB inputs, voice recognition and
text-to-speech, all controlled through a 6.1-inch touchscreen. Entune Audio
Plus gets a higher-resolution screen; HD radio, traffic and weather; and
SiriusXM satellite radio. Entune Premium Audio with Nav and App Suite adds
navigation, more weather and traffic capabilities and Cache Radio, which allows
listeners to pause or rewind live radio. It also includes the Entune App Suite
with new apps such as Yelp and Facebook Places. Finally, Toyota Entune Premium
JBL Audio with Nav and App Suite is the top-tier system, with a digital
amplifier and JBL speakers.
Toyota
previously required a subscription for use of the Entune App Suite, but the
arrival of the latest generation of Entune in the 2014 Tundra marks the end of
that fee. Not only will new Entune customers get the service at no charge going
forward, but even existing users no
longer have to pay for a subscription. The only exception is for models
that use SiriusXM to provide traffic, weather and sports. Those will still
require a satellite radio subscription.
The
latest Entune was added on seven more 2014 models: the Corolla, Camry, Highlander, RAV4, Tacoma,
4Runner and Sequoia. Remaining models will be updated over the next year.
Toyota fans that are interested in learning more about the Entune App Suite as
well as the full 2014 Toyota Line-up can visit Heiser Toyota Scion at 11301
West Metro Auto Mall in Milwaukee or contact the dealership at (414) 357-2100
and www.heisertoyota.com.
